One thing is he worked on a tomb for a pope. He finished Majestic moses, Finished The Bound Slave, and I am surprised he designed the dome of St Peters Basilica.Amazingly he was the last great man of Italy's golden age of art, He was a supreme drawer in anatomical drawing. A big accomplishment was he was the first western artist whose biography was published while he was alive. He also was taken under the wing with the ruler of the city. Something about him was he was one of the most fervent advocates of an exciting new philosophy. He was the first artist who was recognized during his lifetime and he was a great leader in the italian renaissance. He painted the sistine chapel which began in 1508 and was completed in 1512 and he also painted the history of the old testament. One of his carvings was the Madonna Of the Stairs that took one year to complete he also carved the pieta that he started 1498 and completed in 1500. A painting of his was Doni Tondo which took him three years too complete.
